We’re incredibly proud to once again be the official sponsor of the Kosi Quest!

The Kosi Quest is a high-energy team competition integrated into the Rare Cancers Australia (RCA) Kosi Challenge. It means Friday 13th March will be a lucky day for some creative and competitive Kosi climbers. By completing the five Quest challenges during your climb – you’re in to win:

• $4,000 top-up to your fundraising page
• Plus a $1,000 Red Balloon voucher for your team

Why we take on the Kosi Climb 

The Kosi Quest and Kosi Challenge will help raise much-needed funds and awareness for those affected by rare and less common cancers in Australia.

• More than 17,000 Australians lose their lives to rare or less common cancers every year – that’s around 46 people every day.
• Rare cancers account for nearly 50% of all cancer deaths, despite representing only 30% of total diagnoses. 
• People with rare cancers are often diagnosed at later, more advanced stages and are therefore more likely to die from their disease than those with common cancers.

Every photo shared and every dollar raised helps RCA provide essential clinical navigation and support services to ensure no one has to manage their devastating diagnosis alone.

A Legacy of Support: 11 Years and Counting

This event is close to our hearts. Leading the charge for the Cube team is our Founder and Managing Director, Anne-Marie Sparrow, who is taking on the challenge for the 11th time (!).  While Anne-Marie is a seasoned veteran of the peak, she won’t be alone; she’ll be guiding our “Kosi newbies,” Daisy and Alice, as they take on their very first climb.

The Kosi Quest: 5 Challenges to Conquer

Are you ready to climb with us on Friday? Here is how to take on the Quest and win some extra “top-ups” for your fundraising pot!

1. Cap it to the Summit

Capture a photo of you or your team rocking your Kosi caps during the climb.

The Goal: We’re looking for creativity. Think high altitude, dramatic scenery, or your most “mountain-ready” power pose.

2. Spell it out: K-O-S-I

Create and photograph the word “KOSI” using whatever you have on hand.

Use your bodies, gear, rocks, ski poles, or even shadows to spell it out for the camera.

3. The Iconic Kosi Chant

It isn’t a climb without the noise! Film your team performing the legendary “Kosi, Kosi, Kosi – Oi, Oi, Oi!”

Bonus points for dramatic build-ups or featuring “guest appearances” from fellow climbers.

4. Choose Your Own Adventure: Shine with a Sign

Depending on your route, pick your moment for a photo op:

• The Merrits Way: Find your favorite inspirational arrow message and snap a photo with it. 
• The Eagles Nest Way: Get a classic “jump shot” next to the iconic Thredbo sign.

5. The Finish Line Celebration

You made it!

Once you reach the registration area, snap a final photo of the celebration. Jump shots, flag waves, and “fabulous” finishes are highly encouraged.

Supporting Rare Cancers Australia

While the Quest adds a layer of fun and competition, the heart of the day is supporting Rare Cancers Australia and raising much needed funds and awareness for people in Australia affected by rare and less common cancers.

Every photo shared and every dollar raised helps provide clinical navigation and support for those who need it most.

The Reward: Winners of the Kosi Quest will receive an addition to their fundraising pot and other fun prizes!
